Pop smoke’s first posthumous album “Shoot For The Stars Aim For The Moon” has dropped. The album was originally scheduled to be out earlier in June, but was delayed out of respect for the current Black Lives Matter movement and protests. The delay created even more anticipation and Pop’s team finally gave fans what they wanted going into the July 4th weekend. HE DID NOT MISS.
Not going to lie, listening to this album was hard. Pop was so talented and had so much potential it’s truly a shame that he was taken from us so soon. Everything from his voice to his swagger was unique. It is no surprise that he killed this album. The project has features from Future, Dababy, Lil Baby, Quavo, Swae Lee, Roddy Rich, 50 cent, and more. The late MC showcases his smooth and rhythmic vocals in songs like “Something Special” and “The Woo”. However there are also tracks like “Gangstas” and “Get It on Me” that revert back to his usual ground shaking flows.
Pop Smoke’s talent was unrivaled and he continues his legacy with the release of “Shoot For The Stars Aim For The Moon”
