We all knew that Kanye and Cudi were bound to collaborate again. However, most people expected for it to take place in the studio and not on the TV screen.
Yesterday, Def Jam Recordings dropped the teaser for a “Kids See Ghosts” animated show starring “Kanye Bear” and “Kid Fox.” This is a dream come true for any music fan that enjoys watching late night shows with their friends. The show is directed by Takashi Murakami who was also responsible for the cover art for West’s iconic album “Graduation.” Both artists put out announcements and will be the voices behind the two main characters.
The clip begins with the two hopping off a school bus and ends with the duo riding spaceships and battling in an alien world. Kanye’s character is even seen wearing jet-powered Yeezys. The instrumental of “Kids See Ghosts” hit track “4th Dimension” plays in the background to add to this out -of- world experience.
On Friday (June 26th), West tweeted for the first time in 3 months announcing the new show along with his new partnership with Gap. According to CNBC, Gap stock rose 40% soon after the announcement was made. He also revealed that his “Jesus is King” film on Apple TV is coming soon along with a new music video and Dr. Dre collaboration. No release dates were specified for any of these projects but the announcement sparked excitement throughout the music community.
